Dock to Dine: Kid Friendly Restaurants On The Water at Lake of the Ozarks

Visiting The Lake with the fam? If you’re on the hunt for some great food in a family-friendly setting, we’ve got you covered. From big water slides to pools, to the food you’ll be craving all summer, we’ve compiled a few of our favorite places to enjoy family-friendly dining. We promise your kids will be talking about these places for days! And ensure you will have fun too.

Bear Bottom Resort 

When we think of Bear Bottom, we immediately imagine zooming down one of their water slides! Bear Bottom is often referred to as a hidden gem by locals and for good reason. From their lakeside pool to their outdoor dining area, there’s something for everyone! If you grew up spending summers at the Lake, Bear Bottom is where your own kids can relive your childhood lake experiences. 

One of our favorite things about Bear Bottom is how family-oriented it is. It’s the type of place where you could be barefoot all summer long! From comfort food to hours spent relaxing in the sun, it’s time to add Bear Bottom Resort to your summer dining list.

Frankie and Louie's Beach Front Bar & Grill 

There are so many reasons that dining at Frankie & Louie’s is a great choice for your family! But, we’ve picked just a few that are sure to help you have an unforgettable experience. 

Frankie & Louie’s has a huge sandy beachfront area with access to the lake in a no-wake zone. Spending a day here reminds us a lot of spending time in Key West or even the Caribbean! This means you and your family should prepare to hang out for at least a few hours. The atmosphere is relaxed and the water is shallow which makes it the perfect setting for all-day family fun. 

Margaritaville Lake Resort 

For families that love water parks, Margaritaville features both an indoor and outdoor park, making it the perfect place for your next Lake visit. One of the best features is that you don’t have to stay at the resort to be able to enjoy all its amenities. 

As for dining, Margaritaville has a variety of food options. There are two Bar & Grill options as well as their main restaurant, the Windrose Marker 26. At the end of a long lake day, your family has a few delicious restaurants to pick from.

As for family fun, this resort offers an arcade, putt putt, a bowling alley, and even horseback riding!

Lake Burger

For a burger experience, you can’t miss Lake Burger! Most easily accessible by water, this new, modern, and clean restaurant is known for its juicy burgers and over-the-top milkshakes which come spiked or ‘loaded’ for the adults and unloaded for the kids. They also have great outdoor and indoor seating (on some of the best high chairs on the Lake!) that will make your meal that much more enjoyable. 

Besides their top-notch bar and grill food, Lake Burger has a variety of outdoor games, like cornhole and even karaoke! One of our favorite parts is that this location is dog friendly! 

Are you hungry yet?! We have to admit that there are so many great dining options on the Lake that it can be hard to pick only a few. If you are visiting by boat, you can gas up at Redheads, Frankie & Louie’s, Margaritaville, and Lake Burger.

While most of these facilities aren’t open outside of the summer season, many do offer dining from St. Patrick's Day to Halloween. Before making a visit we recommend calling to confirm hours and availability.
